This little beauty got to show off her holiday dresses after Christmas (thanks to Grandma for bringing her in!), and be the center of attention for a few hours. What a treat! The tween age group is often the forgotten age for photographs. It seems parents come in for the first couple of years and then when their kids hit school age, they settle for just the yearly snapshot taken at school until their kids are seniors. It was wonderful to be able to document Faith’s beauty at this in between age, even if she did hide her teeth for most of our images, ha!
Sophia lives all the way across the country, but her parents are Helena natives and her grandparents live in the area. She wanted some Montana scenery and Helena landmarks to set her senior pictures apart from everyone back home. I think we succeeded in that goal, as well as just capturing her beauty. Both of Sophia’s parents came with to our session, and my husband was assisting, so we had a great time chatting away through all our locations. I’m so glad I got to meet this sweet girl and her family.
Senior twin boys Payton and Carter were great to work with. We had a long session with double the pictures, three locations, and some family portraits thrown in, but these boys were so good natured. Mom ordered a ton a beautiful wall portraits for their home, which is a dream come true for me–to get a family’s portraits up on the wall and displayed for years to come. I’m excited to share some of my favorites with you.
I am fortunate enough to have my studio in the same building as this lovely group of folks. I so enjoyed my time working with the Helena Orthodontics team to update their group photo and several individual headshots. They are truly just all so kind! And my son now sports braces from Dr. Foster and his team as well.
I’m always behind on blogging…it’s just one of those things that gets put on the back burner. And then I realize I have SO many sessions to blog about. Here’s little Miss Madison at her six month session back in July. I’ve been lucky enough to photograph lots of milestones for this beautiful family, including senior portraits, engagement, wedding, and newborn sessions. Love watching my families grow! Oh, and I realized I never posted any of her newborn images, so I’ve included a few here.
So this little sweetheart was a 4 pound preemie and spent a month in the NICU, so she was 11 weeks old for her “newborn” photo session. I should say sessionS, plural. Ahem. We did have to have a re-do, but the second time around she was much happier to be at the studio (except when she wasn’t, haha!) It’s a little different to photograph an almost 3 month old who is the size of a newborn, but we managed some adorable smiles. She even pretended to be asleep for a few images in the cocoon her mommy brought in.
Here’s another milestone session, and another one of my baby planners…this is the beautiful little Natalie, who came back to see me for her 6 month session.
Look at these baby blues! This family chose to do a little different timeline so we are doing 4, 8, and 12 months instead of the usual newborn, 6, 12 months. All of his portraits are adorable, but I just adore the image with the blue seersucker shirt and blue background to showcase his incredible eyes, and the smile on that one is just perfect!
I’ve been blessed to do many sessions with this beautiful girl and her family. I’m so lucky that not only do they continue to trust me to capture these memories for them, but that they have such a doll for me to photograph and they dress her up so cute for her sessions. Enjoy little Evie’s two year portraits.
