I’m always behind on blogging…it’s just one of those things that gets put on the back burner.  And then I realize I have SO many sessions to blog about.  Here’s little Miss Madison at her six month session back in July.  I’ve been lucky enough to photograph lots of milestones for this beautiful family, including senior portraits, engagement, wedding, and newborn sessions.  Love watching my families grow!  Oh, and I realized I never posted any of her newborn images, so I’ve included a few here.

Oh what a lucky photographer! This little family couldn’t get any cuter!

Part two of the newborn posing day I did with Jill and Jen at the studio.  Tanner is adorable, as you can see! Enjoy!

I posted some images recently from my beautiful friend Nicole’s maternity session.  She was ready to pop, and now she has!  I invited my fellow photographers Jill Amsk and Jen Mefford to join me in a “newborn day” at the studio, and we worked together to create some adorable images of some beautiful little ones. Both babies were 2 weeks old, about the end of the timeframe we hope for when photographing newborns.  Baby Moira was an absolutel ANGEL for her session.  Despite creating a huge pile of laundry for us, haha, we couldn’t have asked for a better model.  Jill, Jen, and I worked together to pose the babies, and each created our own images.  Here are a few of my favorites of sweet baby Moira.  Enjoy!

In 2008 I photographed a sweet young couple’s engagement photos and their beautiful wedding.  Fast forward six years…and I have had the pleasure of photographing that sweet couple’s new baby, Evie, three times already…okay, well once in Mommy’s tummy, once when she was 9 days old, and once at three weeks for some four generation portraits with her mommy, grandpa, and 91 year old great grandma.  Here are a few images from the three sessions.  Thank you to Daisy and Jordon for choosing me to continue to capture your most treasured moments for you.  Congratulations on your little peanut!

It is so rewarding work with new clients and to get to know them, and it’s even more rewarding when those clients are exceptionally kind, talented, and amazing to work with. I was honored to photograph this little one, and not only did we get to create some gorgeous heirloom images, but we incorporated little pieces of the talents of baby Ethan’s Mommy and Daddy, too. Mommy is an artist, and brought in two huge and incredible oil paintings to use as backgrounds for some of the images (the trees and the blue/green/yellow swirls were both hers). Daddy plays guitar, so we paired guitar with painting, added Baby E, and tadahhhh! Thank you, Nick and Stacy, I am thrilled with your portraits and so look forward to working with you again. Enjoy some favorites from your session.

Oh, look, I’m still playing catch up with my blog posts!  This gorgeous wee one and her full head of hair came in for a visit before Christmas.  She was already moving past that window of sleepy, curled up newborn, but we were able to get some precious images of her sweet self.  Mom and Dad took home a gorgeous custom image box with their order and Grandpa got a Standout Wall Portrait of baby B’s sweet face.  It was a pleasure meeting you and working with you all!

I can’t believe it took me this long to blog about this session.  I had THE. BEST. TIME. photographing these darling little girls.  This was the first newborn I photographed after I took a newborn workshop from the super talented Michelle Glasser (yes, even after doing this for ten years, education is still very important so that I can continue to learn and grow), and it was the easiest, most perfect newborn session I had ever photographed.  I also just adored working with the lucky mom of these two dollies (and Dad was great, too!).  She was a dream client.  All around, I wouldn’t have changed a thing, and walked out of my studio that day just floating on air. Big sis got her own little session out of the deal, and boy did she ham it up for me.  Mom chose to forever preserve these precious memories in a gorgeous custom album that is so breathtaking I didn’t want to let it go.  Enjoy!

This little darlin’ did not want to let me off easy, so she made me work for my supper!  She was awake for most of the session, so we spent more time soothing and feeding than actually creating images.  But in the end, we managed a few cute ones of this itty bitty princess.
